Diamond Wedding Rings
There are very many different types of diamond wedding rings ranging from traditional to contemporary rings and it is not easy to just classify diamond wedding rings in one category because they vary. But diamond wedding rings are one of the best ways to exchange vows and are precious and are a great statement of love to one another.
If you want to celebrate your love and your special day with diamond rings, you will have to make a choice from the different types available for your selection. The word diamond is taken from the Greek root word ‘adamas’ which means unconquerable. Diamonds are said to be rare and the best gemstone. A diamond is not just a gemstone but its quality is what determines its worth. When we speak about the quality of a diamond, we are talking about its cut.
Although diamond wedding rings come in many different shapes, it is the cut that is more important because the cut of a diamond is done in a manner which will enable it to cause light to reverberate from it causing it to shine. We can have a round diamond, an oval one, a pear shaped one, a heart shaped one, a marquise, an emerald and a princess shaped diamond. But again it is not the shape that’s really important.
When you look at diamond wedding rings, you will notice that they sparkle and have a fire and the beauty in it is actually in that glitter. But did you know that it has to be cut to a certain dimension to actually glitter that way? The percentage of palladium diamond ring is what is important. A perfect table cut diamond wedding ring must be 53 to 64% and a good depth cut should be 58 to 64%. Cut a diamond ring out of this dimensions and the incision will be deemed to have been done too deep or too shallow. An incision too heavy or too shallow will have a dull appearance and that will not be a good diamond wedding ring. An ideal cut diamond wedding ring will however produce forth great light reflections from within it.
Diamond wedding rings also have color rages from clear to yellow and the best of the rings will generally have very little color. Color filters the light that sips through and diminishes the extent of light emitted from the diamond causing it to sparkle less. Look for the grading in diamonds when you go out to buy diamond wedding rings. The grade of color is represented by the professional color grade which is denoted from D for colorless diamonds to z for diamonds that have the yellowish or brownish color. Then there is also the weight of diamonds. Most people are aware of the carat weight of diamonds, the carat being the unit of measurement.
